The NSW Government has mandated the use of masks in high-risk public settings such as places of worship, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. This is compulsory for each parishioner over 12.

Please bring a mask to gain entry to the church. This is the case when just making a visit to the church as well as for Masses. Those without a mask can incur a fine of $200.

A mask is not a substitute for other precautions

Using a mask may provide a false sense of security. The use of a mask and only a mask will not prevent infection.

Remember, the best ways to protect yourself and others against COVID-19 remain:

  • practicing physical distancing

  • washing your hands

  • coughing or sneezing into your elbow or tissue

  • staying home when sick.

Even if you are wearing a mask, stay 1.5 metres away from vulnerable people, where possible.
