This month we celebrate the important role families play in keeping children safe when they have a strong sense of belonging and connection to family.
Safeguarding in our Parish means....
Safeguarding in our parish means creating awareness in the community to protect children and vulnerable adults. Our parish is a place in which we endeavor to create a culture and environment where proactive actions are taken to make the community a safe place. Principles and practices are applied to reduce risk and promote transparency.
We invite parents and carers to share their stories (or a photo or a video) of how they create meaningful engagement and connect with their children through the month of September.
Please scan the QR code on the flyer in the church foyer or safeguarding website to share your activities.
If you have a concern we welcome you to click on the 'RAISE A CONCERN' link below. Your concern will reach the Office for Safeguarding where you will fill out a form. A response will be provided promptly.
This year, the theme for Safeguarding Awareness Month is Safeguarding in Families. Through Safeguarding Month, we celebrate the important role families play in keeping children safe when they have a strong sense of belonging and connection to family. We encourage all families to share with us your experiences of how you connect as a family in the form of a story, a video or a photo during the Safeguarding Month of September. The most creative and inspirational stories will be showcased on our Safeguarding Month 2022 webpage
