Deacon David McKenzie D
avid was ordained to the Diaconate by Bishop David Walker in April 2008. Following his ordination the Bishop appointed him as Deacon in the Lakes Parish.
David, a practising solicitor and his wife Trish are long term parishioners and have been involved in various parish ministries over the years.They have six children and 9 grand-children.
David celebrates the Sacrament of Baptism and together with Trish offers Marriage Preparation Programs to couples preparing to marry. They are also on the Social Justice team.
Trish is the co-ordinator of the parish Liturgy Team.

Our Parish Moderator
Rev Dr David Ranson
Fr. David Ranson, our
Priest Moderator, supports Deacon David in his role of parish leadership, and
the priests of our parish in their ministry, and represents Bishop David to our
parish community. Fr. David is a theologian on appointment at the Catholic
Institute of Sydney where he is Academic Registrar and lectures, whilst also
enjoying an involvement in many different diocesan committees in the Diocese of
Broken Bay. He lives at Holy Name Parish Wahroonga where he exercises a
similar role as with our own community.

Our Priests
Fr Barry Nobbs
Fr Barry was ordained on July 21, 1962 in the Sydney Archdiocese. For four years he worked in the parishes of North Leichhardt (3 years) and Lidcombe (1 year). In February 1967 Fr Barry went to Papua New Guinea and worked there until January 2005 in various bush parishes. On his return to Australia he has worked in the Broken Bay Diocese in the parishes of Terrey Hills, Woy Woy and now at the Lakes Parish. He has three surviving sisters Noelene, Margaret & Patricia. Toni the youngest sister died in 2004.

Fr Michael Sun Jae Hwang
Fr. Michael was born in Korea August 8, 1979.
He is the eldest of four children having three sisters.
Fr Michael was ordained in the Incheon Diocese, Korea on July 11, 2008. He arrived in the Broken Bay Diocese on February 12, 2009 and was appointed as an assistant priest in the Cathedral Parish of Our Lady of the Rosary, Waitara for two years.
Fr Michael is the first missionary priest from his diocese.
He was appointed as priest to the Lakes Catholic Parish on February 1st, 2011.
He enjoys spending time with the youth of our parish and visits our primary schools once a week speaking to the children about the gospel. He also enjoys photography and tennis.
Our Pastoral Associate
Leonie Puckeridge Leonie's role as Pastoral Associate began in October 2001. The role focuses on working collaboratively as a member of the Combined Parish Pastoral Council and the various ministries and teams that are in place in our parish. Her responsibilities include a range of pastoral concerns such as adult-faith education, in particular RCIA for Adults and Children, visitations, and various avenues of outreach to individuals and families in the parish, schools and beyond. This includes training & supporting parish leaders/ co-ordinators already in the parish as well as encouraging and training those parishioners who wish to become involved in developing new teams in such ministries as Baptism & Care & Concern and Seniors Ministry.
Leonie holds a degree in theology, education and counselling and has worked in various diocesan agencies associated with primary education, adult education, catechesis, pastoral care and community support.
Whilst ministering in our parish community. Leonie strives to focus on listening, networking and collaborating with parishioners as both communities shape their future amidst a challenging and changing environment.

Di Griffiths You can find Di at the Parish Office, Monday to Friday. She carries out all administrative matters, takes all bookings and is happy to answer any questions and enquiries relating to our parish community.

Our Family Minister
Fran van Schie
Fran is employed 3 days a week to work in the areas of Family Ministry, especially catechetics and baptism visitations. Fran teaches several Scripture classes in the local primary state schools on a weekly basis. She is involved in the RCIA for Adults and Children and is on the Baptism Team.
